Working Together for 3 Year Olds

WT3 is a Tasmanian Government initiative which is opening up opportunities for eligible three year old children to participate in free, quality early learning. In 2019 WT3 is being piloted with eight service partners across five Tasmanian locations, opening up 50 places in 11 early learning centres.

Families can access between 10-15 hours a week of early learning up to 400 hours per year.

For the pilot the eligibility criteria is a child born between 2 January 2015 and 31 March 2016:

  1. whose parent/primary carer holds a Health Care Card and/or
  2. is Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and/or
  3. is engaged with Child Safety Services
