Youth Family and Community Connections (YFCC)
Transitional Accommodation Support Service (TASS) - Burnie
TASS provides medium-term accommodation and support services for young people and young single parents, aged 15 to 20, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Accommodation is safe, affordable and appropriate to the needs of clients.
Support provision includes outreach services to clients who are not accommodated in YFCC properties.
Support services are focused on increasing clients’ capacity to live independently, through case management which is responsive to the clients’ identified needs, and includes preparing clients for exit into more appropriate long term accommodation and facilitating connections with other internal and external support services.
Support services also include assisting with living skills, and support to engage with education, training and/or employment and the local community.
