Migrants Information Referral Service (MIRS)

The Migrant Information and Referral Service (MIRS) supports temporary or permanent new migrants to establish themselves in Tasmania.  The referrals service provides information and referrals to assist with initial issues new migrants may have such as: finding a place to live, getting connected – utilities, phone and internet, learning English, enrolling your child in day-care or a school, finding a family doctor, exchanging money and shopping, obtaining your driver’s licence, using public transport, looking for work, study options, social connection and any other questions they may have.
