Colony 47

Mara House

Mara House provides 24 hour supported accommodation for up to six young women aged 13-18 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It can also provide emergency accommodation.

Colony 47 offers a place for a young woman to live, while being supported to reconnect with family, education and community and either return home or move into long term suitable accommodation.

Young women who stay at Mara House are given the opportunity to develop practical skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and perhaps most importantly to develop good communication skills.
