Kids in Focus (KIF)

Kids in Focus provides support and counselling to parents who are using alcohol or other drugs and supports them to make positive changes for themselves and their family. The program takes a whole of family approach providing:

  • Family therapy and support
  • Developing skills to deal with substance use issues
  • Counselling for children and their families
  • Parenting strategies
  • Ideas and education about ways to directly address substance use behaviours with a focus on harm reduction/minimisation
  • Support to improve social skills and to strengthen your personal and community relationships
  • Health education and
  • Information about other community support agencies and referrals.
