Launceston City Mission

Inside Out for Kids

Inside Out 4 Kids is a peer support, harm prevention program providing a positive and healthy path toward healing for young people grieving a loss or life-altering transition in their lives.

City Mission conducts this program in local schools with the aim of assisting participants through their grief process. For example, this might include a family breakdown or the death of someone close to them.

Participants meet weekly in small support groups with a trained facilitator.
In this safe, confidential and loving environment, participants can talk, share, cry, listen and participate in activities and games while learning strategies to deal with their grief.

Participants gain resilience skills, courage and hope to move forward into the future with joy and a greater sense of self.

There is no cost involved to the school or participants.
