headspace - Launceston
headspace provides health services to young people between the ages of 12-25.
For young people or family members coming to the service for the first time, our intake service is open from 9.00am to 4.00pm every day of the week except Tuesdays, when intake starts at 12.00pm.
All headspace services are free.
The Launceston centre provides direct assistance with the following:
- Mental health counselling and therapy across a large range of issues affecting young people; anxiety, low mood, issues with self-esteem, stress, relationship issues, and so on
- A bulk-billing GP service five days a week, by appointment
- A drop-in Nurse service 5 days a week giving young people an opportunity to have sexual health screenings, access to advice and support around contraception, sexual and reproductive health
- Access to specialised supports including a visiting drug and alcohol counselling specialist and visiting vocational consultants (advice and options for training, education, and work)
headspace Launceston is located on the corner of Brisbane and Wellington Street, Launceston.
