Youth Family and Community Connections (YFCC)

Crisis Accommodation Support Services (CASS) - Devonport

CASS provides crisis accommodation and support services for young people, aged 13 to 20, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Accommodation is safe, affordable, appropriate to the needs of clients and for the duration of the client’s period of crisis.
The Service is available at all times (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

Support Services are focused on immediately stabilising the clients’ crisis and, where appropriate and safe to do so, supporting clients to rebuild relationships and exit accommodation with family. Where reconnection with family is not likely, support is focused to help clients plan their exit out of crisis including connecting with relevant internal and external support services that will provide ongoing support where needed to establish and maintain appropriate housing.

Support services also include developing and assisting with living skills, and support to engage with education, training and/or employment and the local community.
